Gwen Stricker

Gwen Stricker is an architectural preservationist who recently entered the field professionally. Her interest in preservation was sparked by her admiration for Chicago’s historic buildings, and she has built this interest into a career. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Calumet Heritage Partnership.


Gwen previously worked as an intern at Beyer Blinder Belle Architects and Jan Hird Pokorny Associates, both firms specializing in preservation architecture, where she worked on an array of preservation projects in and around New York City. She earned her Master’s degree in Historic Preservation from Columbia University GSAPP, and previously earned her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Ball State University where she also minored in Historic Preservation.
